Classroom Happenings

Spring has sprung and it is already April….unbelievable. The trees are budding out, kids are chasing each other around the play structure, the hawks are up in the oak trees calling their mates. It’s a great time of year. Cool weather is still with us on some days, so make sure your child has a lightweight jacket or a sweater for the cool mornings.

April is that month where we shake off the winter blahs and focus on the renewal that Spring brings. We will be planting and tending our school garden, and doing lots of talking about growing this month. You will definitely see projects about flowers, baby animals. April 12-16 has been designated as “The Week of the Young Child”. In honor of that Brush Creek will have an art display from April 5th-? at the Rincon Valley Library. Check it out while you are checking out some good books to read with your children.
